Issue 82 is now commencing preparation to print and will include the second of three parts of Dr. MacNeil's European tour of 1964 and an article on Palestine in early steam days prepared as a tribute to the late Paul Cotterell.
 NEW BOOK - THE RAILWAYS OF JAMAICA
Jim Horsford's major work on Jamaica is going to print within the next 2-3 weeks. The book will be a hardback title in full colour with 168 pages and over 300 photos, drawings, and diagrams. The cover price will be confirmed within the next few days and further information will be updated on the web page.
Christopher Walker, Trackside Publications
It is with sadness that we have learned of the unexpected death of Chris Walker last week. Chris has contributed greatly to L.I. and provided numerous illustrations for 'The Railways of Jamaica' as well as assisting with proof-reading. His great range of knowledge will be sorely missed by fans of railways internationally and we will miss him personally too. Our condolences go to his family in this unfortunate time
The Taltal Railway
This book was due from the printer for Trackside Publications next week and we were arranging to have stock available through our web site upon publication. In the circumstances there may be some delay but we will keep readers informed.

 After a gap of nearly 40 years(!) George Behrend's classic book of travel by Wagons-Lits is available again in a second edition. 104 pages 215 x 275mm. Hardback, 88 monochrome photographs plus maps and Wagons-Lits interior diagrams. Now available.
